“Jacob’s Ladder” is a short film created in the late summer of 2023. It cost $12,000 to produce and was funded through a generous grant from the City of Tacoma Arts Commission and a Seed & Spark crowdfunding campaign. The story came about as a response to the tragedy of homelessness and drug abuse in city streets all across America. In this film I wanted to tell a hopeful story that explores how even in the pits of our own despair there is always hope and opportunity to be set free. It took many people to bring this vision to life and I hope you will consider attending this year's Tacoma Film Festival to view our film alongside other short films in our group.
Jacob's Ladder will be screened alongside other shorts in the PNW Dramatic Shorts 1 group. Director Donovan Wilson will be in attendence.
